On September 25, 2009, Rassie was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. His symptoms: Swollen Feet and bruising. We never exepected a diagnoses of Leukemia. The Doctors and we ourselves, are very optimistic about the treatments available. We know that we have a long road ahead of us and we hope that you will support us on our journey to recovery.

APPROVED

Things did not take NEAR as long as I expected them to.  12 more sessions of physical therapy were approved and Rassie starts back Friday.  So not even a week without therapy. Woo Hoo!

Also, Rassie was fitted for for his brace yesterday. They made a mold of his leg and it will be specially made to fit him.  It will be ready in 7-10 days!  AND worker's comp. ins. approved it also. I am so excited for him to be walking and on the move at home.  It's getting closer.

The blackouts / passing out have been way less frequent.  There are days with ZERO episodes.  Most days are minimal episodes.  And a few days are where he has to lay down and nap because they come on a little stronger.  All in all, he's doing better though.

And let's not forget, he's still working hard to kick Leukemia's BUTT!!!  Still no major effects from the Gleevec and we are very thankful for that.  Just a little hair loss here and there and nausea here and there.  Other than that he's doing great!  Thanks for your continued support.

God Bless!
